Bjorklunden

My mom, brother Jeff, and I spent the week at beautiful Bjorklunden.  Located on the shore of Lake Michigan just south of Bailey’s Harbor in Door County, Wisconsin, Bjorklunden is a 450 acre center that is owned by Lawrence University.  During the school year, Lawrence students spend time here.  In the summer, seminars are offered.

The property is dotted with beautiful views of Lake Michigan and crisscrossed with trails.

My parents were very involved in Bjorklunden since it was given to Lawrence by its former owners, the Boynton family.  The original lodge was destroyed in a fire years ago.  Lawrence since built this beautiful facility.

I highly recommend the seminars.  If you stay on-site, you are provided all meals starting Sunday evening until Friday noon.  Wednesday night is chef’s night off, so you can experience the cuisine of Door County.
