We would be remiss if we did not express our gratitude for the generosity of our host in absentia in Quepos. Kevin’s place is named “Dos Palmas,” translated to “Two Palms.” Now the truth is that there are more than two palms on the property, but there are two that are worthy of having the place named after them.
And speaking of generosity, I shout out to Paul and Annie, neighbors who help manage the place. They were extraordinarily helpful in our getting the lay of the land, exposure to great things, and just being awfully nice.
I am hesitant to show too much, due to privacy concerns, so I will focus primarily on what one can see from Dos Palmas. It is also going under a significant rework. It would, however, be a shame if I didn’t mention the staircase.
I’m not sure what type of wood it is, but it is done with fine craftsmanship, and a great eye to meld local lore and design.
The infinity overlooks the marina and Pacific Ocean. It also happens to be perfectly situated for my passion, sunsets.
Without further ado –
Extraordinary photos that capture the outstanding beauty of the place, the people, AND the sunsets! It was a perfect combination, and I want to add my thanks to all of you for letting me be a part of it. It was AMAZING. Marlene
Bill and I spent time looking at the staircase which he exclaimed over. Not simply just the design but the lovely carvings!
This stop is worth the whole trip !
Wow ! thanks!
