Hello everyone, we have made it to Sydney, Australia !
We haven’t had internet the last two weeks on the ship so no posts, but hopefully one soon. We’ve done a lot since Singapore.
In all honesty though, we are both getting tired of being tourists. Sydney is beautiful but we may not tour it much. Next( tomorrow) we get on another repositioning cruise to LA. We supposedly have internet but it’s sketchy at best I think on ships.
I’m kind of amazed we made it this long and far. I melt down on occasion, I admit I , mostly when I got a sinus infection and felt awful. We are stopping in a few South Pacific islands and places in New Zealand we’ve never been before and probably wouldn’t see if not on a ship.
I miss Finn a lot and all of you, but am excited to see family and Topanga/ LA/ Oregon friends before we get home. It has gotten a little colder down under and look forward to warmer weather when we head back to the Equator. Food wise, I’m almost ready to see rice and noodles again, the ship had great meat and potatoes! A nice change from SE Asia.
We talk to people about Trump a lot. The Aussies are getting pissed and scared as their election is coming. The Canadians are sad and say come live with us, you were always good neighbors. The Brits all say this too shall pass. I don’t know what it will be like actually living back home. You all seem so discouraged in your emails. I love seeing the protests!
Anyway spring will come, we’ve been taking cooking classes that are fun, and lots of enrichment classes on energy, EVs, and future climate stuff. We also plan to do some health classes this next trip, we will see how this goes!
Great to hear from you. Quick questions. How long is the travel to LA? When do you land back in MN? Love to you and Steve.
Sue
Pam and I are glad to hear that you are homeward bound. It has been an awful few months as you know but it is always good to be with friends and family during these dark times. We look forward to seeing you sometime later this year.
