All good things must come to an end, and it had become our last day in Chang Rai.
Pete invited me to his weekly coffee with a few of his friends. The coffee was grown in the mountains by one of the hill tribes. It was delicious. The conversation was all over the place, as one would expect from as diverse a group as this.
Lek Goes Fishing
One of Lek’s great passions is fishing. We’ve talked about it in a previous post. This day, she went off on her own. We arrived to find she had caught 20 fish that day, (throwing some back).
The Going-away Party
The cook at the fishing place knew how to prepare fish.
With Pete and Lek, we were joined by Ross and Pranee (sp?) and Andrew and Ya. An excellent time was had by all.
Back at the house, Ross and Pranee showed up with more beer.
You cross my mind at least once a day because the light in the toilet bowl light no longer goes on. I changed the batteries without success so you can see why I think of you daily! I’m glad to read that you’re having a marvelous time. I miss you, Ellen and Steve but am so happy for your adventure! Mm
