L’Alhambra

The Alhambra is a place that it seems all Spaniards are proud of.  Every Spaniard to whom we mentioned our visit to the Alhambra was excited for us and bursting with pride.  I visited about 42 years ago and things have changed a bit.  Now you need to get tickets ahead of time, and it is considered a wonder of the world.

A mixup prevented us from visiting the Nazaries Palace, which is considered the highpoint, but we were not disappointed.

I will let the pictures tell the story.  Forgive my inability to delete more of them, as it was so beautiful that I simply couldn’t eliminate more.

  1. WOW…these are fantastic photos. The Alhambra is a favorite of ours, as well. One year, we stayed right within the walls of the Alhambra at the little Hotel America. The Parador was booked, but we had an unforgettable meal there looking over the Valley to the gypsy caves on the other side.

  2. Loved all of the pictures! Beautiful! And the views through the windows and arches…just as they positioned them I suppose. Wonderful!
