Poet’s Nest

A few days ago Ellen and I travelled over to Door County to see my poet mother, Barbara Larsen, read from her latest book Poet’s Nest.

The Ephraim, Wisconsin Unitarian Community holds a monthly Emily Dickinson night in which a local poet is featured.  There is also an open microphone in which poet’s read their works to attendees.

Poet’s Nest is a book in which images from the poet’s journal are presented with accompanying poems.  The poems are in some way inspired by the words from the journal posts, either as new poems, or as poems that somehow reflect elements of the journal.
