Popping Down to London Town

Given that Ben and Lisa were working on Monday, we decided to pop on down to London.  We grabbed a fast train, and 40 minutes later we were at King’s Cross, where we hopped on a “hoho” bus (hop-on, hop-off).

This was both good and bad.  The good was that they furnished disposable plastic ponchos that we could use to cover either the wet seats or ourselves.  The bad was that it rained quite a bit of the time we were on the tour.

Nonetheless, we were able to do a pretty decent circuit of London.  I was able to see the venerable London School of Economics where Ellen had spent time during her college years.  We stopped at a pub for lunch.  We saw most of the main sights, albeit from a distance.  And we were able to pick up as much London vibe as would reasonably be possible on a rainy, one-day, hoho.
